Nanny’s New Clothes

Remember how Channel 4 decided to axe a lot of its old favourite strands at the start of the year to launch radical new factual programming? Well, brace yourselves, folks, because like many of its counterparts, factual stalwart Supernanny has been axed, to be replaced by Jo Frost: Extreme Parental Guidance.

Rest assured, this is a completely different show to Supernanny. Oh yes. So it might look like Frost is still trying to sort out problem children and daft parents, but this time there’s a twist! She’s working with more than just one family at a time! And wait, there’s ANOTHER twist! She’s going to be looking at ISSUES as well as trying to sort out the problems (because, lest we forget, looking at ISSUES worked so well for Trinny and Susannah). And what’s this? Another SHOCK! TWIST! (Anyone would think BB was sneaking back into the schedules). Jo will be wearing her own clothes.

Anyone that suggests this whole new series is just a convenient way of letting Frost stop wearing that Dad-baiting nanny garb she’s probably hated wearing for years is wrong. This is GROUND-BREAKING ALL! NEW! factual programming, OK? Now go sit on the naughty step.
