lowculture buzzcocks right sizeKnock, knock, (bear with, it should be worth it) knock, knock . Who’s there? The Doctor. Doctor Who? Yes! Well, no, actually. I’m not quite sure who’s there because I’ve not yet worked out who’s going to knock four times. Obviously someone who has never had to actually knock on a door before because I’ve yet to meet someone who knocks four times. It’s three at the most and rarely if there’s a bell. Perhaps it’s a postman without a parcel to deliver, if they had a parcel marked TARDIS then they’d still only shove a note through the letterbox.

Anyway, sorry, I drifted a bit into Kitty then, I may not know who’s going to be knocking the Doctor up, but what I do know is that it’s the Who-tastic episode of Never Mind The Buzzcocks tonight. Oh yes. The tenth (and the eleventh if you’re a pedant, and I am) incarnation of the Doctor, David Tennant is hosting, with guests including Catherine Tate(!), Bernard Cribbins(!) and Jo Whiley (there’s not a chance in hell that she’s getting an exclamation mark, not unless I sharpen the end and hurl it in the direction of her vocal chords of course).

This Doctor Who themed episode kicks off a host of Time Lord themed shows on the BBC, with other highlights to include a Who themed QI and David Tennant’s edition of Desert Island Discs. All leading up to David Tennant’s final outing as the Doctor this Christmas. But for now, laugh away and save the tissues for then. I have a feeling that you’ll need them.
