Never mind the Paradocks

Well it’s a tense crime / adventure / mystery drama thing, see. Or hang on, maybe it’s a bit sci-fi. And it’s like, dead serious and all about morality And That, although it sounds a bit silly. Frankly I can’t tell from the trailers or publicity what the hell Paradox is supposed to be about, which makes me suspect the BBC aren’t entirely sure either. Plus it stars Tamzin Outhwaite, who I technically don’t have a problem with. But ever since Miranda started we’ve had a weekly reminder of what her husband looks like, so you may feel the need to throw rotten vegetables at her face out of sheer jealousy.

Emun Elliott plays a Space Scientist (still, it’s not exactly Brain Surgery) who finds images of disasters from the future, which DI Mrs Tom Ellis and her team have to try and avert. Time Out, not really known for mincing their words, called it “stupid.” So why preview it here if it sounds awful? Yes, chances are it’s awful-awful, but isn’t there the tiniest chance it might be Bonekickers-awful? The kind of awful that’s actually a special kind of sublime? Let’s stock up on rotten vegetables and find out.
