A few weeks ago, it was announced that My Name is Earl has been cancelled, so make the most of tonight’s triple bill of episodes, as they are the final ever episodes of the show. Unfortunately, although I don’t know what happens in the finale, I’ve heard it ends on a cliffhanger, which is going to prove incredibly frustrating – but I suppose gives fanfic lovers the world over their chance to decide exactly how karma will reward Earl in the end (or not, depending on how mean-spirited and cyncial you are).
It’s a shame it’s bowing out now, as season four has generally been pretty good, but I guess the damage of a dire third season has taken its toll (its demotion from Channel 4 to E4 over here between S3 and 4 is indication of the problems with that last season). Tonight’s episodes see some of our favourite Camden residents being accused of murder, and Earl trying to find Dodge’s real father. So long then Earl, Randy, Joy, Darnell, Catalia, Dodge, Earl Jr, Mr Turtle and all the rest. Happy list-keeping!
