The Gallaghers, Maguires, Karibs and annoying police-officers with pointless sub-plots retrun tonight for series six of Shameless, Channel 4′s most successful home-grown drama EVAH.
Discussing the relative merits of series four and five have the same effect on team lowculture as discussing Sex and the City – i.e. we have a big fight about whether they have any worth or not. Let’s just say I’m hoping series six is great and I won’t mention hoping it returns to form or anything.
Tonight’s episode is rather bonkers, as Ian loses his memory and decides he wants to forget all things Chatsworth. Can he be persuaded to stick around? We also see several new characters arriving this series, as well as continuation of some of series five’s storylines – especially Debbie’s.
Let’s just hope we don’t see Mimi Maguire taking after Tina Malone and biting her toenails, though…

I think I liked it although they’re finding it hard to keep their best actors as they tend to go off and do other stuff…
